This watch was bought for just $2 from Facebook Marketplace, barely running and clearly in need of serious attention. Instead of letting it end up as scrap, I decided to give this vintage mechanical watch a complete restoration. The movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and carefully reassembled to bring it back to proper working condition. I also polished the crystal, cleaned and refreshed the case, and fitted a new strap to complete the transformation. What started as a neglected and almost non-functional watch is now running again and ready for everyday wear. Restoring affordable mechanical watches like this proves that even the cheapest finds can deserve a second life.
