So this build is a 2000 Toyota 4runner 3rd Gen 2wd that used to belong to my best friend that passed away in September of last year. He bought this in 2020 for a couple thousand bucks and drove the crap outta this thing all over the country multiple times. It did what he needed it to do, but he always wanted something that was a little more capable. I was trying to help him find a lower miles newer 4wd 4runner but he never actually got one. So my goal with this project is going to be converting this to 4wd, giving it more ground clearance, and overall just making it more capable. I also will be doing all the major maintenance items, such as timing belt, plugs, and coils, and reseal everything because it’s been leaking a lot of oil. I want to try to make a vehicle that he would’ve explored the corners of the Earth in. I will do everything in my power to keep this vehicle on the road indefinitely. We all love and miss you bro!
