You know that horrible feeling you get when you press on the brake pedal and something just doesn't feel right? Returning home in my almost 28 year old Renault Megane Coupe and descending a long down hill stretch of road I notice that the brake pedal travel is much longer than usual, as the pedal inches closer to the carpet there is greatly reduced braking force. After safely making it back home, further investigation revealed a corroded brake line was dripping DOT 4 onto my driveway. with Autos de France only a few weeks away and the MOT a further few days later the race is on to complete the repairs in time...
