Rupert Sheldrake, PhD

He is a Biologist and a Fellow both at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, California (USA) and at Schumacher College (UK). From 2005 to 2010 he was the Director of the Perrott-Warrick project for research on unexplained human and animal abilities, funded by Trinity College Cambridge (UK). His research interests include morphogenesis, animal behavior, and unexplained phenomena like telepathy, the sense of being stared at, and premonitions. Author and co-author of several books, including “Dogs that know when their owners are coming home” (1999), “The science delusion” (2012), and “Science and spiritual practices” (2018). He studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge (UK), Philosophy and History of Science at Harvard University (USA) and earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. He was a Fellow of Clare College, University of Cambridge, working in biochemistry and cell biology with funding from the Royal Society Rosenheim Research Fellowship. He worked as Principal Plant Physiologist, and afterwards as a Consultant, at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (India).
