The Tan Caddis is my answer to the need for a simple Caddis dry fly that I can tie quickly and floats well. Tan Caddis are a staple of the trout's diet in my area and you would be crazy not to have in your box. The other thing about the way I tie this fly is that I add enough Elk hair that the fly floats good enough that I can drop a small bead head nymph under it.
