This video was recorded on a Mevo Camera and edited from a previous recorded live stream. I have gotten a lot of emails and interest regarding my Mevo video review. Most of the questions have been how and what I can use to get better audio while recording or live streaming with the Mevo. This video was recorded using the Mevo Camera while I was live streaming to my FB @ChrisJGray7. I edited the video after the live stream using iMovie. You can actually connect multiple audio sources if you use a mixer. This maybe useful if you are recording multiple people and want them all to sound great. Perhaps you want to have sound effects or music in your live stream or video, this could be the solution you need. There are many different mixers you can buy, I will have a link lower down in this description to the Behringer that I have been using for my audio mixing needs. Now this seems like a great way to move audio, but you need a special adaptor and cable to have the sound output and then input into the iPhone. There are many ways to do this, however here is my formula. Get an audio splitter (I will provide a link in the link section of this description.) The splitter I use has a 3.5mm jack. This will allow you to separate the stereo output from the iPhone of iPad and allow you to send audio into the mic part of the jack. I then run a 3.5 mm mono to ¼ jack. This cable will need to be plugged into your mixer's AUX out. After setting up you can now record and have multiple mics and or equipment going into your video. Another way to connect a quality mic and one of my all time favorite mics is the Audio Technica 2100 USB mic. It has a great sound and a wonderful price. You will however need to plug it into the iPhone using the Lightning to USB connector I will have a link further down. The Audio Technica ATR 2100 USB mic is one of the best mics for the money, it can connect to almost anything with the dual outputs of either XLR or USB. The connection options and great front firing microphone make it the most versatile mic I have ever used. Plus, it sounds great. Connecting this mic is easy, you simply plug the USB to micro USB in using a lighting cable to USB adaptor, plug them all in and have great audio recorded. So far in all of my testing any mic audio, inputting sound through the 3.5mm jack, Lightning port or the built in mic for iPad or iPhone will work with your Mevo. So check out my links, find the right kit for your needs and budget, get out there and experiment! Most importantly, have some fun.
