Meet the artist: Graciela Cassel

Graciela Cassel from USA presents her video artwork during VISIONS, third appointment of ANIMA MUNDI 2024, which took place in Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello from June 07 to June 21, 2024, and at Palazzo Pisani-Revedin from June 20 to July 04, 2024, during the 60th Venice Biennale of Art. Cassel has received many awards and fellowships for her work, including the 2022 NYFA Work Award, the Altamira Museum Fellowship in 2022, the Anklave Fellowship in 2021, and the New York Historical Society Fellowship in 2020. She was also a Queens Council Grantee in 2020 and 2016. Her artwork has been displayed at various institutions and galleries, such as the Museo de la Naturaleza in Cantabria, Spain in 2023, and the Urban Glass Gallery in Brooklyn in 2020. In 2016, at the Museo del Barrio, and in 2019, at Weather the Weather, Hall of Science, New York. Cassel had a solo show at NYLAAT Governors Island in 2023 and showcased another solo show at the Lilac Museum ship in 2022. In 2023, her work was presented in Nuit Blanche Paris.
