Early detection is often discussed in clinical terms, but its broader system-wide value is equally important. This session brings together experts to explore how earlier diagnosis in younger adults leads to better outcomes, more efficient care delivery, and long-term cost savings. The discussion highlights new directions in early detection — including emerging technologies, evolving care models, and strategies that strengthen the case for greater investment in early age onset cancer. Experts will discuss: • System-level and economic impacts of delayed vs. timely diagnosis • Real-world examples of how early detection improves resource use and outcomes • How value-based health care principles can guide decisions around early detection • Imaging capacity and resource requirements needed to support earlier diagnosis This session was recorded during CCRAN’s virtual Early Age Onset Cancer Symposium (Nov 20–21, 2025).
