This documentary captures the impact of the "Martawa Zuromaye" meaning “Dignity and Security” project implemented by CARE Nigeria in northeast Nigeria. The film documents survivor-centered efforts to prevent, mitigate, and respond to violence against women and girls (VAWG), while addressing harmful practices such as early and forced marriage (EFM) and female genital mutilation and cutting (FGM/C). Through community voices, lived experiences, and frontline interventions, the documentary highlights how dignity, protection, and accountability can be strengthened even in complex emergency settings. Shot on location in conflict-affected communities across Northeast Nigeria, this project sheds light on the importance of local leadership, community engagement, and rights-based approaches in safeguarding women and girls. This film is a testament to resilience, advocacy, and the ongoing work required to ensure safety, dignity, and justice for women and girls. Watch, engage, and help amplify these critical stories.
