#housedesign #desert #wood #concrete #architecture #housetour The Periphery House, designed and built by Locus Studio in Utah's remote high desert, is a 2-bedroom home that blends architecture with the raw beauty of the American West. Carefully positioned near the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, the home sits lightly on the land, respecting the delicate ecology while framing expansive views. With a minimalist palette of oak, steel, and concrete, and a design that emphasizes light, silence, and connection to the environment, the house serves as both sanctuary and instrument. Built by a small team of dedicated craftspeople over four years, it reflects a thoughtful balance of engineering and emotion — a quiet yet powerful meditation on how architecture can deepen our bond with nature.
