Marsalforn, Gozo by bike — a sunny POV ride through Marsalforn Valley, past the bay, and along the 350-year-old Xwejni salt pans. This 4:21 clip is all about bright colours, calm coastal cruising and those limestone “moneyshots” along the pans. We start with a fast downhill from Xagħra through Ta’ Bullara, dropping into Sinet tal-Egħżien where the valley stays green thanks to constant water running down from the hills (and yes… I got properly soaked early on). From there we roll towards Wied Marsalforn (Marsalforn Valley) with Tas-Salvatur Hill ahead, then enter Marsalforn itself past Triq il-Port and along the seafront promenade on Triq Santa Marija, reaching Qbajjar Bay. Next up is Xwejni Bay, with the distinctive rock formation Il-Qolla l-Bajda, before we hit Is-Salini and the famous salt pans. These pans stretch for roughly 3 km along the coast and have been worked for generations, forming one of Gozo’s most iconic coastal traditions. From here it’s pure limestone cruising, salt pans to the right, deep blues of the sea beyond, and a couple of standout “no road, just rock” moments as the sun sits low ahead. 🎵 Music: Beautiful Life — Rain Jewels 📍 IG: @CharlieRidesGozo 👉 Strava: / strava 🎥 Camera: Insta360 🚴♂️ Bike: Trek Procaliber 9.7 MTB 🎬 Chapters 00:00 Ta’ Bullara downhill (Xagħra) 00:28 Sinet tal-Egħżien + valley water splash 00:46 Entering Wied Marsalforn (Marsalforn Valley) 01:10 Marsalforn seafront → promenade → Qbajjar 01:55 Xwejni Bay + Il-Qolla l-Bajda 02:06 Is-Salini salt pans begin 02:23 Limestone coastal cruising past the pans 03:38 Leaving the pans + final outro shots If you enjoy short scenic Gozo rides with music (no talking), feel free to subscribe for more bays, valleys, coastal trails and countryside.
