Despite the Supreme Court ordering all states and union territories to give Rs 10 lakh as compensation to those who died while cleaning sewers since 1993, little is known about whether all states have complied with the order yet. In Delhi alone, 6 people have reportedly died cleaning sewers within a span of one week.
