The Axis Powers Animated | CLASSIC CARTOON WW2 PROPAGANDA; ULTIMATE COMPILATION

A collection of wartime theatrical cartoons that mock the Axis Powers and their leaders (Hitler, Mussolini, Hirohito, Tojo etc.). All were made between 1942 and 1945. Since every major studio contributed to the American war effort, famous characters such as Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck, Popeye, and Superman were used to support the Allied cause. Cartoons from the following studios are featured: Disney, Warner Brothers, MGM, Famous Studios, Columbia, Universal, Terry Toons, and Film Classics. In addition to my previous compilations, this video also includes two stop-motion toons distributed by Paramount. In compiling these toons, I found the book 'Doing Their Bit: Wartime American Animated Short Films, 1939-1945' (2004) by Michael S. Shull and David E. Wilt to be especially helpful. No copyright infringement is intended - this video is for educational purposes. Needless to say, much of the material here can be considered insensitive or offensive in nature. The unflattering caricatures of Japanese people are an example. It is not my intention to offend viewers by including this material. Rather, I hope that it will enlighten people on the history of animated propaganda.
