The Birdseye Trail is a short, but fun trail in the Red Canyon on the way to Bryce Canyon National Park. Though this is an out and back trail, which is a little steep at first, but flat at the top, we walked back to our car from the paved, flat bike trail across the road. This trail is off Utah Scenic Byway 12 between 89 and Bryce Canyon. Visit my profile on Alltrails to see where the images are linked to the trail: https://www.alltrails.com/members/jen... More notes: These hikes off route 12 are a little steep to start, but all the hoodoos are above the road rather than in the canyon as it is in Bryce (to hike into the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park, you need to go down into the canyon). Therefore, these Red Canyon walks tend to be warmer as there is more sunshine here than in the canyon. (We were happy about that because though it has been a warm winter, every little bit of sun does help warm you up!) So, I'd suggest if it's not too snowy, muddy or icy to do this trail in the winter as it'd be warmer if the sun is out. Also, be on the lookout for colorful rocks as in the video! It's amazing how many colors you can see in one rock!
