This was another entry to the same event as "COGNITOHAZARD", which was showcased on the channel a couple months ago. However, this version is significantly nerfed, making me able to complete and record it myself. If you're unaware of that event, creators had to make megacollabs in a week, but if it was completed by another team, they were eliminated. As a result, both this and other entries were made as hard as possible. This one in particular used Geometry Dash's randomization for the section at 3:24, requiring you to either jump or not in each of 65 total loops, to create an "impossible" puzzle. However, some people were able to predict how the game's randomization works. In short, certain objects earlier in the level could tell you what seed was used for the randomization, allowing you to know the 65-bit sequence beforehand. All of this is just an introduction to the old version of the level, but it's very interesting and I suggest checking out spcreat's video on it if you haven't seen it: • Unnerfed The Crossing 100% by ItzKiba and ... Now, onto the new version of the level. In the section I discussed above, you only have to jump onto the bench, which is shown at 4:37. This is obviously drastically easier. The old version was much cooler technically, but as I understand it, ItzKiba, who did a lot of the work on this level, wanted it to be more approachable by any player. In the first section, all you have to do is hit the red eye at 0:30, then you're able to hold the dash orb from 0:55 and go above the moon in the background. I really like how you essentially transition from the foreground to the background, as the next part at 1:15 highlights the road in the background. This is also further utilized at 2:05, where you see some crash happen, and then the first background reappears at 2:44, featuring added police lights where it happened. To explain the other sections, at 1:29, you need to click the number of times shown in symbols at the start for the following respective glowy green sections, such as at 1:34, 1:39, and so on. Keeping track of how many clicks you need to survive the part and how many extra ones you need to add in between the required clicks takes a little thinking, but it's not bad to get down. Otherwise, we have the next section, where you just need to skip the cube portal seen at 2:29. While doing all of this isn't technically difficult, there's still quite some length to this level, and it also takes time to figure out how to do everything, even if you have some clues. As a result, I think it may be around a Medium Demon once rated. With two long paragraphs about how the gameplay in the old and new version work, I think you can understand that I find this level quite interesting. It's cool to see that this event created completely different approaches to making tricky gameplay. For this one in particular, the only similar experience I've had that I can think of is "experiment", which obviously had a whole different feel to it. As for the visuals, I think they match the atmosphere well. It starts off looking relatively neat but still mysterious, and then it goes more and more off the rails as you progress through the puzzles. Every part has cool art, designs, and/or effects that match both the vibe and music, so the team behind this did a great job. Below, the creators involved in this easier version are credited. I could see this getting a Legendary rating personally, but it's hard to predict how other Moderators and RobTop will feel about such a unique project. We'll have to see how it goes. ★ Become a Member of my channel for special perks: https://www.youtube.com/viprin/join VIDEO INFORMATION Game (version): Geometry Dash (2.2) Level: "The Crossing" by ItzKiba, Arclia, DuckNgl, galofuf, Glubfuberz, ItsLuminousYT, Jorbettt, MINEGOLD3, Rifct, waffybun, SnowEye, GDSkele and xDjoa ID: 136166417 Music: "Celestial Mysteries" by Serponge https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/list...
