Last look inside the Ogden's Tobacco Factory, Liverpool. I was on a permission visit, literally hours before work commenced on the demolition. The former Ogden’s office building on Boundary Lane dates from between 1899-1901 and is believed to have been designed by the company architect Henry Hartley. It includes a clock tower with spire that acts as a landmark within the local community. At one point it had over 2,500 employers but had less than 200 when it closed. Imperial Tobacco operations at the factory ceased in March 2007 when production was moved to other UK plants. All that remains now is the clock tower building, which is now apartments.
