In todays video, I'm travelling overnight onboard the MS Viking Grace, which is part of Viking Line's cruiseferry fleet. Originally entering service in 2013, the ship s 240 metres long and weight 57,565 tonnes and is capable of carrying 2,800 passengers. Further information about the ship can be found here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Viki... I took this trip as part of a Christmas Market tour in 2022, which involved travelling around Europe by train. I had an Interrail Pass, which as well as giving the train travel, includes discounted ferry travel on select services. I don't know what exactly happened, only that I thought I had made a reservation, so I turned up at the ferry terminal and tried to check in on the machines with no joy, which meant I had to join a long queue. It was then I was informed that I had not made any reservation. It also meant I was too late to book anything through the Interrail App (If I was ever able to) and I was worried my travel plans had been scuppered and I would have to make alternative arrangements. Thankfully the ferry was not full and I was able to buy a ticket. As the ferry was overnight, the only way to get a ticket was if I booked a cabin, but it turned out that only cost €70. I was originally just going for a walking tour video kind of a feel (There was another travel tuber called Dylan that used to do videos like that, sadly they left stopped posting.) I wish I had filmed the issues I did have now, as narrate to the camera. It's what makes Steve Marsh the legend he is in this space. The music playing in the one bar and at the end of the video is a song called "Kuin Kuuta Nousevaa" by Finnish group Yölintu. Although I don't know what they are saying, I found it a catchy tune.
