But trying to find tutorials on how to do more intermediate to advanced things with blocks is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So in this video we’re going to dive into how I built the Featured Content Block (and essentially the single content block that’s in the Crosswinds Blocks plugin). Here we’ll talk about how to build a block that passes context to inner blocks so that we can add blocks like the post title, post content, excerpt, featured image and more to customize how the posts look. We’ll also just scratch the surface using WordPress core data functionality. And we’ll see how to render those inner blocks via the PHP template.
