If you are looking for the most scenic drive around Falls Creek (Victoria), this is it - the Mount McKay scenic loop. Mount McKay. Mt.McKay is 1849m above sea level, and is the highest drivable mountain peak in the Southern Hemisphere! The views are spectacular across the Bogong High Plains, and over towards Rocky Valley Dam and Pretty Valley Pondage. We left Falls Creek Village, drive along the Bogong High Plains Road, onto Pretty Valley Road, and then onto the Mount McKay Loop. We have a look around the peak and take in the views, then drive back down the other side of this alpine peak and back into Falls Creek Village.
