Welcome to English for All Learners! In this video, we'll teach you how to use New York slang. As you know, slang is very important in every language, although sometimes people look down on it. Slang is used in everyday conversations and gives flavor to ordinary language. That's why we need to know it if we want to understand native speakers. New York slang is specific. Whoever has been to New York City or the States knows that everybody uses slang from time to time. You can't understand a New Yorker (or people from other major cities in the US) if you don't know the most common slang terms they use. This is our second video on New York slang. This time we'll teach you how to use more frequent slang terms such as "to cut someone off," "get into it" or "it’s a wrap". We'll also teach you typical NYC verbs and phrases such as "bugging,” "dope," and "blowing up your phone.” Let us know in the comments what you think and how many slang terms you knew before watching our video. And let us know if you want us to add more to our next video.
