This is the evolution of the Barney intro theme over the years. I’ve always liked this concept but hadn’t seen it done with good-quality footage and audio, so I decided to take it on. Each version here is the highest quality that we have available in terms of visuals and audio, with some being remastered. For this video, I used the lyric “Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination” as a guideline for what counted. I didn’t include home video or episode-exclusive versions unless they were notable enough. Both co-productions are included, but dubs and unique non-English versions aren’t—those are something I’d like to tackle in the future. The main live versions are included as most of them had soundtrack releases or high quality sources.
