When I Love You Sounds Annoying | Didi Wong | Art of Articulation

Do I say "I love you" back when I don't feel it? Do I say I love you back just to appease you or to make you feel good? Do I say I love you back just to end the call quickly and abruptly? Or do I actually say I love you only when I mean it? There are times when I find myself saying, "I love you but, oh why did I say that? That was not authentic." This annoys me and I end up feeling bad about myself. Also, I have instances when I do say "I love you" and really mean it to a really good friend. Lastly, I have one other person in particular in my life who says it so much to me, and I just don't reciprocate it. That last person is quite annoying for me. I challenge you to think about the words you use that are enduring, caring, and loving to somebody else, but your relationship may not be there with that person yet. Consider how annoying it could make another person feel whose not ready yet. Just a little thought for today: Think about that the next time you say, "I love you." Do you really mean it? Is it in a relationship where you feel that is the right way to say it or are you a little bit too premature saying it? I challenge you to think about that.
