I can't even explain where it came from I just know that I need more interaction between them to function. They're my guilty pleasure. This is mostly something I made to get the dydia feels out of my system, but there's actually some sort of storyline behind everything: Derek and Lydia have feelings for each other, but Derek is reluctant, he doesn't want to hurt her and mainly, he doesn't want to get hurt. He tries to push her away but Lydia always finds her way through his walls. Later on, after she almost gets killed by Jennifer, Derek realizes they're better off together than apart, and so it is.
