Tabah is the debut short film from the critically-acclaimed emo band, Milo Dinosaur. This poignant visual piece brings to life the struggles of an ageing single mother, Rohaya, and her adult son, Haziq, as they navigate life’s unspoken sacrifices and quiet love. Set in modern-day Kuala Lumpur, Tabah captures the rawness of everyday challenges through the lens of family, duty, and perseverance, as seen with Rohaya’s tireless effort to make ends meet by selling kek batik, a traditional Malaysian dessert. Tabah is one of the most intricate and complex tracks in Milo Dinosaur's discography, clocking in at 4 minutes and 48 seconds. Featured on the band’s 2018 debut album Dengan Ikhlas, the song blends emotive lyrics with intricate guitar riffs and shifting time signatures. It captures the essence of perseverance, exploring themes of resilience and emotional endurance. With its raw intensity and unique structure, Tabah showcases the band's ability to craft deeply personal yet sonically adventurous music. The film features stunning performances by Suraida Abu Hassan as Rohaya and Nazmie Hisham as Haziq. It was directed by Aqmar Nurhakim and produced by BigKid, with cinematography by Putera Shanaz and editing by Fariz Zakaria.
