Monmouth County - Garden State Parkway - 99.5 NB - Working Car Fire Just before 6 PM Monmouth County 911 received a call for a car fire on the GSP. The caller stated her car was on fire in the engine compartment and her car was at 99.5 NB on the left shoulder. While I was staged at 94 NB I drove the four miles up to find the car actively on fire with fire showing from the engine compartment. The first due fire officer gave the update for a working car fire & told the first due engine to pull behind the car and stretch the booster line. 52-2-78 was first on the scene and quickly stretched the line and knocked down the bulk of the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown. No injuries were reported. #mercedesbenz #carfire #crash
