The little gadget that lights up whenever the International Space Station is in your skies is getting some amazing new features. Connect a TV or monitor and the device will display live views of the earth from the ISS HD Earth Viewing Experiment cameras whenever the ISS is in sunlight. In addition to the video stream you also get a number of extensive data screens with all the technical information on the future pass of the ISS - along with a ground track showing the path of the ISS over the earth's surface. As of July 1st 2014 there are 315 ISS-Aboves all around the world. These devices also send a Tweet (tagging @Nasa_Johnson) whenever the ISS is particularly close (usually when it is above 30 degrees in the sky). There will be a new Kickstarter soon which is designed to support the further development of much more extensive public educational displays utilizing the ISS-Above along with TV monitors and more extensive LED display devices.
