Join me on a misty adventure as I backpack along section 16 of the Hungarian National Trail, from Dobogókő to Visegrád. In this video, I take you along as I navigate through dense fog and misty landscapes. At the start of the trail in Dobogókő, I'm treated to clear skies and spectacular vistas of the surrounding mountains. As I descend into the valley below, I encounter thick fog that obscures the trail. The trees around me rise out of the mist like ghostly sentinels, and the silence is broken only by the occasional rustling of leaves or the call of a bird. There's a sense of adventure and mystery in the air. Every turn brings a new surprise, whether it's a sudden drop in elevation or a huge deer grazing peacefully on the trail. As night falls and the mist thickens, I set up camp in a small clearing. The sounds of the forest are muffled by the mist, creating an eerie, otherworldly atmosphere. I huddle in my tent, grateful for the warmth of my sleeping bag and the reassuring glow of my headlamp. Outside, the fog continues to swirl and dance, adding to the sense of isolation and adventure. I feel alive and exhilarated, eager to see what the next day will bring. On day two, as I approach the end of the trail at Visegrád, the fog begins to clear, revealing the Danube and the surrounding hills. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have experienced this unique hike.
