The Institute for Sustainable Process Technology together with Nouryon, Vopak, Samotics (formerly Semiotic Labs), TPA Adviseurs and the Universiteit Utrecht’s Copernicus Institute are collaborating in the ERGO project to develop features that would allow for up to 20% energy reduction of industrial electric motors across a variety of industries and applications. The goal is to show that it is possible with the existing predictive maintenance technology on the market to not only reduce energy, but also improve maintenance processes. This project is great news for the global industry as over 40% of global electrical energy is consumed by AC induction motors. Hear more from Frans van der Akker of The Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT), Marco Waas of Nouryon and Simon Jagers of Samotics to learn more about this cooperation, and how our condition monitoring technology SAM4 plays a crucial role in it.
