Guest Speaker - Lee Caroselli Barnes of Balboa Threadworks If you have heard it will take 30 years to Learn to Digitize, and if you have tried to follow the conventional directions and failed miserably, you are talking to the wrong people. Digitizing should be easy, rewarding, and fun. This class will give you what you need. We will start with the Stitch itself and what it does. Then move on to the three Basic Stitches, the Running Stitch, the Column or Satin Stitch, and finally the Fill or Tatami Stitch. We will learn Learn where to use them and when. We will Learn how they are constructed, and learn their Properties, the things these groups of Stitches will do and won't let you do. You will Learn to Master each of these three stitches, then you will learn to master combining them in a Design. This Class was conducted by Lee Caroselli Barnes, a Member of the Embroidery Hall of Fame, who was inducted into the Hall for excellence in Digitizing and for her willingness to share her techniques.
