Welcome back legends! In this episode, the Gibb River Road turns up the heat on us — with some of the most stunning gorges we’ve ever seen, and our first real caravan damage of the trip. The corrugations were no joke… but the rewards were next level. Here’s what we explored: 🌊 Bell Gorge The spot everyone raves about — and now we know why. After tackling 30km of rough corrugations (and wisely leaving the van behind), we made the hike into this absolute masterpiece. Lower pools, waterfall views, rock jumps, and some of the clearest water you’ll find out here. 100% worth every bump in the road. 🌿 Adcock Gorge Katie took on her first proper 4WD track and crushed it! Easy walk in, stunning gorge walls, and a sneaky little waterfall shower to rinse the dust off. The water was a bit green, so no swim this time — but still such a peaceful stop. 🏞️ Galvans Gorge One of our favourites of the entire Gibb. Rope swing, rock jumps, Aboriginal art, shady spots, and even meeting legends Tim & Annette. A smaller gorge but full of character and good vibes. 🔧 Caravan Damage The Gibb finally claimed its first victim… our caravan copped its first bit of damage thanks to the endless corrugations. We’ll show you what happened and how we handled it. ⛺ Free Camps We Loved Frog Hole Campground – right on the river, full of frog sounds at night. Gravel Pit (opposite Galvans Gorge) – flat, free, super convenient. This leg of the Gibb tested us… but it also delivered some of the most unforgettable moments of our trip.
