RetroPlay: Game Walkthroughs Castlevania: Symphony of the Night by: OmegaSion In this segment, Alucard makes his way through the Caves, running into his dear old friend Death once again. Alucard remembers what Death did at the beginning of the game, and now it's time for some payback. After some sweet vengeance and obtaining the Eye of Vlad, Alucard continues on through the Caves, regaining possession of the Alucard Sword, and makes his way into the Reverse Catacombs. Making some good progress toward the end of the game now. The witches in the catacombs can be a real pain but if you snagged the Cat Eye Circlet in the Normal Castle you can get any HP you manage to lose fighting them by simply letting them run into you after they transform into their cat form, or when they toss a black cat at you. I'm not sure why, but for some reason while recording this area in FRAPS, the framerate drops a lot in areas like these, and it's going to make going through the Anti-Chapel a real "joy" from the looks of it. I'll see if I can figure out a way to deal with this before I continue on, but if not I'll do my best with what I've got. In the next segment we will be completing the Reverse Catacombs and make our way to the Reverse Entrance.
