Märklin KLVM on my layout

So happy to have successfully restored these two Märklin KLVMs. KLVM for Kleine Lok Von Märklin (Little Märklin Locomotive). These two locomotives were manufactured in 1972, in the entry-level category, at a low price. Despite this, they benefit from the same mechanics as more prestigious models. I bought them for a pittance. They were very worn and had been run a lot without much care, certainly by kids. The green one: Märklin 3087. Still in good general condition, I changed the brushes, the pick-up shoe and the traction tires. But the drive axle was very worn and the twisted wheels were no longer in place. So I replaced this rear drive axle with a spare axle (spare part for a Märklin 3029, but compatible). The Black one: Märklin 3090 Chassis with a Primex 3197 body. This locomotive must have fallen to the ground, which would explain the change in bodywork. Additionally, one of the front wheels had a flattened part, which would also fit this hypothesis. I changed the brushes, the pick-up shoe and the traction tires, the damaged front wheel, and also the rear drive axle which was also completely worn. After some tests I discover also some running troubles. The Small Flat Commutator Motor was not operating normally. I had to change the rotor (armature) which was very worn and the stator (field magnet) which had a half torn copper wire. There was also trouble on one of the brush retaining springs (the copper mesh one) that wasn't applying enough pressure. In fact a small part of the spring was missing in its upper part, preventing the spring effect. Fortunately I was able to replace this spring by recovering one from an old brush plate. 4K Video.
