During Kidney Transplantation, the Genes of the Recipient and the Genes of the Donor are Different. Hence, there is always a chance of Rejection of the Transplant Kidney. Hence, the Nephrologist gives very high dose of Immuno Suppressive Drugs, like ATG, or Methyl Prednisolone. This, leads to Prevention of Rejection of the Kidney by the Patient Recipient, and hence, the Kidney starts working, and, Urine starts forming. After this, the Immuno Suppression is continued. And, in fact, initially the Urine Output may be very high, around 800 mL to 1200 mL per Hour. And, the final volume may be around 8 to 10 to 12 liters in 24 hours. This is because, the new fresh Kidney is removing all the previous Creatinine from the Patient body. And, this leads to a rapid fall of the Creatinine. And, the Creatinine normalizes, from approximately around 6 to 8, to around a normal value of 1 to 1.2, within around 48 to 72 hours, of the Kidney Transplantation being done. Hence, the Patient continues to be on Immuno Suppression.
