Introducing the brand new 2025 Daiwa Saltiga 35HL! This reel is an absolute beast! It's extremely smooth, packed with world class technology, and can handle a wide variety of species from Tuna, Snapper, Amberjack and more! I was lucky enough to get my hands on this reel right on release day and was eager to test it out on the water. The day started off great with some early morning Akule and Opelu for bait which I would later turn into a nice sized Yellowfin Tuna (Shibi). I had a decent amount of action on the jig and was able to put the Daiwa Saltiga to the test against a tuna, snapper and amberjack. I ended up catching my first Deep 7 species on the kayak which I was extremely excited about! I've been chasing them for about a year now and to be able to pull up an Ehu was amazing!
