Aman Natey (2004) - Slowed and Reverb

Welcome to yet another slowed-and-reverb song for today. This time, we have something much newer, as in several decades new than most of the songs I have posted thus far. This is "Aman Natey", from 2004. This song was written and performed by Eritrean singer Abeba Haile. This is a woman who, in addition to being a huge singer in her country, has been involved in other things. During the Eritrean-Ethiopian war which took place from 1998 to 2001, she was a member of the Eritrean People Liberation Front, the organization that liberated Eritrea from Ethiopian colonialism, so she is cherished not only for her musical work, but also for fighting for her country. Many of her songs, this one especially, couple synth-pop and dance pop melodies with lyrics sung in the Tigrinya language, making for some unique and interesting music! Unlike some of the artists I've featured so far, Abeba has found some success in other countries, mostly in the Eritrean diaspora, such as in the United States, Canada, and Germany. She continues to have concerts and make TV appearances (especially for national broadcaster ERI.TV) to this day. I figured a song like this would be perfect to make a slowed-and-reverb version of - let me know what you think!
