Today I am talking about Atypical Anorexia, otherwise known as other specified food or eating disorder. This disease is very frustrating for many because it doesn’t get all the media attention that anorexia and bulimia get but it is just as deadly and dangerous as the other eating disorders. The biggest issue with this disease is that many are told “they are too big to have an eating disorder” and are dismissed care, support, and validation.
