Instead of farming in straight lines, you follow the natural contours of the land. This helps keep water from racing straight downhill & eroding the soil Increasing water retention. It supports healthier pastures, deeper root systems, & better grazing - Without disturbing soil biology. We were lucky enough to find a Yeomans Plow on a farm that was no longer used. It was a hand me down from a working farm 2 generations ago that this generation was no longer viable as a working farm. It is a beast of a machine with big bolts & steal. I crushed a finger tip while I restored it back into a working machine.
