Finally got to video editing if you could call this that. I tried to document my installation of a Viper Extreme modchip in a Panasonic Q. There are only 3 modchips that work with the Panasonic Q which are the viper extreme, qoob pro and hyperboot. All have limited productions with the viper and qoob not being produced for the past 15 years. So I documented my journey of installing and flashing firmware to the viper extreme. The flashing was almost harder than the physical disassembly and resassembly of the Panasonic Q. Thankfully on the gamecube-forever forums there was still documentation regarding the viper extreme installation process. Whenever I have time I will have to flash the even newer and better Swiss firmware on the viper that enables SD2SP2. My Panasonic Q has the SP2 slot on it and I'm uncertain if all of them have it. It's also very loud even when the disc drive isn't being used so I might change the fan at some point and time. It's very hard to find a viper or qoob modchip. Most you find if you can even find them are 'new old stock' in the box or on units already installed. I wouldn't recommend this modification to a beginner. I hope this can help anyone installing a viper, qoob or hyperboot in a Panasonic Q as there is little documentation of this actively occurring. I promise I'll eventually get a better camera/phone!
