We recently received four new oolong teas from Taiwan, and in this video I go over the characteristics and qualities of each of them. For the final portion, I’m writing up the description for the one we decided to call Winter Pear, and the link to that oolong is right here: https://jteainternational.com/winter-... Just in case you wanted to check that one out specifically. Like I said, there are three others, and there’s also another one coming. It’s just a busy time trying to get all these teas together, and with Chinese New Year fast approaching, we’ve got a lot on our plate. But this winter, the quality of oolong coming out of Taiwan is just remarkable, so I’m super excited to get a tasting together and share these teas with everyone. The four oolongs that I’m talking about in this video are Winter Pear, Ruby Peak, Nantou Goddess, and Snow Drift. One of the things that amazes me—it’s hard to wrap my head around—is that tea can actually taste like this. I mean, when most people think of tea, it’s like green tea, black tea, or herbal tea—basically the teas you can find in the supermarket, commodity tea. But when you get to this high-quality level of tea, it just blows my mind: the different flavor profiles, the range of flavor within one tea, as well as the aroma and the smooth, creamy texture. All of these things combine to create what I just can’t really… I try my best to put it into words, but these are the magical qualities of oolong tea from Taiwan.
