This virtual Hill briefing offered insight into the many ways the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) supports Indigenous American languages. NEH funding supports the preservation of Native languages and lifeways through grants to study and document endangered languages and make language resources accessible to tribal members. Three NEH grantees discussed the profound impact that NEH funding has had on their work in language preservation and revitalization.
