This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Shinto Priestess Rev. Suzue brings the ancient Shinto musical celebration of nature into the 21st century. Through her original songs, international performances and work as a goodwill ambassador, Suzue strives to inspire others to work towards harmony and peace. Singer/Songwriter Music and dance, in the form of kagura, have long been intimately tied with Shinto beliefs in Japan. Shinto priestess Rev. Suzue carries on this ancient tradition, bringing the musical celebration of nature and life into the 21st century through her original songs and uplifting voice. Her performances have been enjoyed by thousands, from Carnegie Hall in New York City to Brazil, Russia and beyond. Suzue has served as a goodwill ambassador, using her music to break down barriers between people and inspire a universal appreciation and love for life.
