Ashmore Collection of American Glass to be Auctioned Collectors and lovers of American Glass should mark their calendars to attend the upcoming multi session auction. The nationally known collection of the late R.H. "Bud" Ashmore will be sold by Dan Ripley's Antique Helper Auctions. Bud was a well known collector of American Iridescent Stretch Glass, Tiffin, Northwood, Fenton, Fostoria, Imperial and other American Glassware from the Art Deco and Depression Eras. Highlights include Stretch Glass in Red, Tangerine and Wisteria. Many Stretch and Opaque Glass Candlesticks and console sets. Victorian and Elegant Glassware. Tiffin Vaseline fishbowls and bases and Millersburg crystal Ohio Star and Hobstar and Feather. Bud was a longtime member of many glass clubs including the Stretch Glass society and the Hoosier Glass and Pottery Club. Many pieces of his glass were featured in books on Northwood and Imperial. This is one of the most important collections of American Glassware to come up this decade. And don't miss Saturday's sale!
