Cutting Off The Rear Quarter Panel From My Crashed Lamborghini Gallardo! Rebuild Part 7

👋 This is the biggest repair for my crashed Lamborghini! The rear quarter panel was very damaged in the crash and it needs to be removed! Somehow I found a brand new OEM panel from a Lamborghini dealer for a fraction of the cost and was able to get it. The rear part of the fender is bolted on, however it is welded into the door jab and upper part by the gas cap. So in todays video I cut off the rear quarter panel and replace it with a brane new part. It will end up getting welded into the door jam to match the factory installation. But I was able to line things up perfectly in the back with a brand new tail light as well. Now there is no more damaged parts on the car! And after I filmed this video I got the tail light lined up better and got everything looking perfectly. SO next up will be to have the front of the panel welded into place and then I can schedule paint for the car! This was intimidating for sure since there is no going back. But its ahd to be done. The aluminum panel was beyond repair and just needed to be off. I took my time and made sure to not make any cuts to the actual car. I cut the panel itself off an slowly got to where the welds are and just cut through the welds to leave the cars material in place so we will have plenty of material to weld the new panel to.
