Getting this right is essential for ewe condition and lamb survival. With 300 sheep moving through the race -the job depends on coordination between shepherd and sheepdog. Flute gathers and applies steady pressure from behind, pushing the flock forward in a controlled flow. At the shedding gate, Emma must concentrate on each ewe as it comes through, making fast, accurate decisions and directing them into the correct pens.
