The Haunted Mansion at Knoebels Amusement Park! This ride is kind of iconic when it comes to dark rides and it is more than 50 years old. It often makes the lists in the top 10 dark rides in the nation due to it's hand-built charm and vintage props. Less gore and more of a mix of creepy, weird, and loud jumpscares! The ride whips around the track and is pretty dark. We did our best to film but feel like we need to go back to experience it again. The Story of Ishmael Hepple: The mansion's owner, Ishmael Hepple, searched for a cursed treasure and brought it back where it captured spirits and bound them to the house. A wizard resides in the mansion, studying books to undo the curse, with his efforts sometimes failing, as seen in the portraits. Ishmael's spirit is trapped, sometimes seen trying to break through paintings or walls, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
