In today's video, I'll be taking y'all with me to get my first silk press treatment in Amsterdam! As a Black girl with 4b textured hair, and as someone who has been on a journey towards achieving and maintaining healthy hair, I am VERY particular when it comes to who is styling my hair and what is being done to it. I typically style my own hair by either braiding or twisting my hair or wearing wigs. But, after a while there does come a time when you also have to get a treatment and a trim in order to maintain the health of your hair, and for me that time was looong overdue lol. So, I decided to research some hair salons here in Amsterdam that offered silk press treatments and other services, and also specialized in styling Black hair. She was so sweet, had such great energy, was very nice to chat with, and we even filmed a TikTok together showing the process of my silk press treatment!
