This is just a fun project. We used to make a carved axe handle so this time we tried to make a carved hammer handle. We got a vintage Craftsman rip hammer with rust on the head and a loose handle. We clean it up and make a new cool carved hammer handle from Ebony ( Diospyros ferrea ) My dad created a pattern on the handle with the file, my dad has a template in his head and improvised to make the pattern on the handle. We would like to tell you this is not a practical hammer, we intend to make it for collection and display as a work of art. We would like to introduce art in the form of hammers or woodwork.
