Mankind has been fascinated for ages with being stronger, going higher and being faster than their competitors. In sailing the benchmark is the speed over 500 meters. The first windsurfers like Derk Thijs clocked speeds of 19 knots but by gradual improvement of their boards, sails and fins the limit was pushed further until the current record holder Antoine Albeau set it at 53,27 knots in 2015. At first measured with stopwatches later with video timing and now with GPS this documentary tells the story of some of the speed sailing record holders and their record day.
