The story from Devi Rakhumai's perspective - While Lord Krishna and Rukmini were busy with their marriage rituals, a devotee known as Pundalik was engrossed in Krishna Bhakti. Hearing the voice of his devotee in between the ceremony, Krishna left the ceremony without any explanation. Naturally, Rukmini was disheartened. Lord Krishna reached to Pundalik while he was busy attending to his parents. Though he knew Lord Krishna had come to see him, he delayed in paying his respect to the lord against his duty towards his parents. He, however, threw a brick outside for Lord Krishna to stand upon. Impressed by Pundalik's devotion towards his parents, Lord Krishna did not mind the delay. Standing on the brick he waited for Pundalik. When Pundalik came out and begged God's pardon and requested Him to remain there for the devotees, Lord Krishna replied that, far from being displeased, he was delighted with his love for his parents. However, Rukmini followed Lord Krishna and seeing the love and devotion between Krishna and his devotee, she decided to stand beside him for the devotees. Since then Lord Krishna is represented as Vithoba, Vitthala or God who stood upon a brick...Lord Krishna and Devi Rukmini came to be known as Vitthal and Rakhumai 🙏 ' वीट हे ज्याचे स्थल तोच विठ्ठल ' ✨ On the auspicious occasion of Aashadi Ekadashi, we present to you a choreography on “Rakhumai” Hope you’ll like our attempt on this.
