Microcystic adnexal carcinoma - This is a biphasic malignant sweat duct tumor with ductal and follicular differentiation. This is a bump or plaque typically on the upper lip, cheek or chin of older individuals. The tumor grows very slowly over the course of years. Keys to the diagnosis: 1. Poorly circumscribed and deeply infiltrative 2. Lymphoid aggregates typically found 3. Perineural invasion common 4. Biphasic: horn cysts (follicular differentiation) + paisley tie ductal structures, common superficially. 5. The tumor is infiltrative, in thin cords and duct-like nested structures. 6. Dense sclerotic collagen rich stroma. If you have benefited from this video and want to see more, please hit that like button.
